Emma & Oskar
RAVNIR is a Nordic music project from Switzerland, started by Emma and Oskar out of a love for their roots in Norway and Iceland.
Emma is the voice and the face of it. Oskar shapes most of the production and the cinematic sound in the background. Together they mix Nordic heritage with a big, modern sound that feels both old and new at once.
It started in dark Nordic atmospheres and grew into a blend of nordic folk, pounding war drums, electronic textures and ritual, with lyrics that move between English, Old Norse and the Nordic tongues. The sound is shaped by Viking heritage yet unmistakably modern, and the spirit of the North still sits at the centre of everything they make.
Call it nordic folk, call it viking music. RAVNIR sits where the two meet: skaldic vocal lines and Old Norse verse carried by war drums and low brass, built the way a film score is built rather than a folk record.
This is music for wanderers, seekers and restless modern souls who still feel something ancient underneath the noise of everyday life.
